It would be good to get feedback on companies' current experience with submitting REACH registration dossiers - post TCC tool, new business rules manuals, IUCLID 5.2 and REACH-IT 2.0
Is the process becoming more efficient or are there new bugs?
I would very much like to give you feedback on this, but: the biggest problem right now is that ECHA webpage is not accessible. I tried today to go on the webpage at 10:30 a.m. for the first time and now, 2 hours later I still cannot get on the webpage. This seems to be the biggest problem reminding me of the pre-registration phase.
It is still NOT working! Have you been able to find out the cause and will we get one day more for registering (until 1st October instead 30th September) before ECHA's response times will be three months?
Here is what we finally managed to extract from the press office:
ECHA web connections knocked out as Swedish cables severed
28-Sep-2010
The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) press office has told Chemical Watch that the agency's website, including access to REACH-IT, and email communications have not been accessible outside Finland since 11.00 Central European Time. The problem was caused by the severing of cables in Sweden which feed much of the electronic communications in and out of Finland. The agency says it has been assured the connection will be reestablished as a matter of urgency - but it could not specify when. It also stated that the problem has not affected the information contained in REACH-IT. ECHA apologised for any inconvenience the outage is causing.
